The Office of Personnel Management issued a list this month of the Federal Employees Health Benefit (FEHB) plans that will no longer be offered in 2024.
OPM states that enrollees in these terminating plans must make a positive election into another FEHB plan choice during open season or be automatically enrolled in the lowest-cost nationwide plan option with no membership fees as determined by OPM. For Plan Year 2024, this will be the GEHA Indemnity Benefit Plan, Elevate Option (Plan Code 254).
*Humana is exiting the Employer Group Commercial Medical Products business, which includes all fully insured, self-funded and Federal Employee Health Benefits medical plans, over the next 18 to 24 months. For the FEHB Program, this will be for effective Plan Year 2024, impacting less than 10,000 of FEHB subscribers.
