Federal Benefits and Retirement is a financial planning firm whose expertise spans 30 years of helping federal employees prepare for, understand, and enjoy retirement.
Federal Employees often retire without realizing the trade-offs associated with their choices. For example, Federal Employees can choose to receive the supplement or the pension bonus but not both. It's mutually exclusive. Our mission is to inform in order to eliminate these “blind choices”.
We offer web based seminars, one on one benefits counseling, and answers to questions via phone, email, or in person. As featured in Investopedia, US News, and Federal Employee Newsletter.
About our Team
We have masters degrees, financial licenses, and various designations and certifications including FedSmart advisor and ChFEBC. The designations were earned after completing extensive and comprehensive training courses focused on the benefits of federal employees including air traffic controllers, reservists, firefighters, and law enforcement personnel.
Benefits Counseling
We offer comprehensive personalized benefits packets for Federal Employees and nonfederal spouses, social security draw strategies, and considerations for comparing retirement ages. (ie. How much more will I receive from my pension at age 62 instead of age 60?)
We try to answer the question of “When can I retire?” as well as “When should I retire?”.
We utilize analytics software to provide tax planning, social security strategies, risk profiling, and fund comparison to help you know how much money you will receive in retirement from the 3 pay checks - FERS/CSRS, -Social Security/Supplement, and TSP.
Fiduciary
Our firm acts in a "fiduciary" capacity for our clients based upon need determined by best interest standards.
