NARFE’s State-By-State Income Tax Treatment Report

The National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association (NARFE) has released the 2019 edition of its annual roundup of state-by-state income tax analysis for retirees.

The analysis provides helpful information on the tax treatment each state has for items such as:

  • state personal income taxes
  • state exemptions for civil service annuities
  • state exemptions for Social Security

The report provides a detailed briefing on each of the 50 states plus the District of Columbia.
