President Chooses New OPM Director

March 5, 2019 My Federal Retirement

President Trump announced his intent yesterday to nominate a new director of the Office of Personnel Management.

Dale Cabaniss of Virginia will be the agency’s director for a term of four years filling the vacancy since former director Jeff Pon left the agency in October 2018.

Ms. Cabaniss previously served as Chairman of the Federal Labor Relations Authority and spent more than 20 years in the United States Senate overseeing civil service issues on the Committee on Governmental Affairs and the Committee on Appropriations. Ms. Cabaniss earned her B.A. from the University of Georgia and J.D. from the Catholic University of America.
