Meet the Personal Benefit Seminar Instructors
Sharla D. Rountree is the owner of Personal Benefit Financial, which she joined in 1988.
Due to increased public awareness and consumer demand to be more knowledgeable about investments, retirement concerns and insurance options, Sharla has taught adult education through a community college on financial planning and investing, as well as, provided federal government retirement seminars with Personal Benefit Seminar since 1990.
Sharla has contributed to the "Money Wise" column for the Rocky Mountain News and co-publishes a quarterly financial planning newsletter, The Dollar Chase. In addition, she works as a corporate and non-profit retirement plan advisor.
Mrs. Rountree has received the designation of Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) from the College of Financial Planning in Denver in 1990, and was a member of the Colorado CFP Education Board and current member of the Colorado FPA Education committee. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing. She is an active registered representative and holds the general securities principal Series 24, Series 7, Series 63 and 65 registrations. She also holds separate Colorado licenses for Life, Long Term Care, Accident, and Health insurance.
Ron's extensive background in financial planning, insurance counseling and business administration reflects his commitment to comprehensive, professional financial planning assistance for employees of educational institutions, government agencies, and other organizations. Previously Ron was a senior account executive with Educators Marketing Service Corporation. Today, he is an active FINRA registered representative who holds the general securities principal Series 24, Series 7, Series 63, and Series 51 licenses.
He also holds separate Colorado licenses for life, accident and health insurance. Ron has a designation of Certified Financial Planner. He achieved the designation of Accredited Asset Management Specialist, Registered Financial Consultant, and has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Denver, and has pursued graduate business study at Colorado State University.
Eric S. M. Kee has over 18 years of financial services experience. Prior to joining Personal Benefit Financial, he worked at Jackson National Life, Oppenheimer Funds, DWS-Scudder, One America, and FSC Securities Corporation. Eric's experience in the industry includes retirement plan consultant, regional wholesaler, and financial advisor. One of Eric's many specialties includes federal, state and corporate pensions and federal, state and corporate retirement benefits. He is a registered representative holding the Series 7 and 63 licenses, along with life, annuity and Long Term Care insurance licenses. A graduate of Indiana University- Bloomington, Eric has a Bachelors of Science in Public Affairs and Environmental Science.
Eric resides in Fraser Colorado with his two sons Asa, 7 and Ezra 5. They enjoy most outdoor activities and spending their free time together from working on the garden to playing in the park, skiing at a resort or just playing basketball or soccer at home.
Michael R. Pineda has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Over his career he has been an equity/option trader, wholesaler for variable annuities, mutualfunds and an investment advisor for the top financial investment firms in the U.S.
Michael's specialty is in retirement planning for federal and non-profit sectors -- a process to uncover financial needs from wealth accumulation goals to wealth protection to leaving a legacy. Creating a plan to achieve these goals is essential. He is a registered representative holding the Series 7, 63 and 66 licenses. He also holds separate Colorado Licenses for Life, Long Term Care, and Health Insurance.
He is a graduate of Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Economics.
Bob Davidson is a well-known financial advisor and educator in Leesburg. His retirement seminars have been widely attended by pre-retirees and retirees from the Federal Government and private sector businesses throughout the Northern Virginia-Washington, D.C. area. During the last 27 years, Bob has advised over 500 families and small businesses in the Mid-Atlantic region on $150,000,000 of investments. He has advised pre-retirees and retirees from the government, real estate, medical, public school system, and private industry sectors who want to protect their principal and ensure that their money lasts. His practice focuses on helping pre-retirees and retirees avoid the most common financial mistakes. Hundreds of retirees have used Mr. Davidson's tips and retirement planning strategies to avoid taxes on social security income, grow and protect retirement savings, and protect their estates.
Bob is a 1976 graduate of the University of Connecticut and Auburn University where he earned his Master of Science degree in 1981. He is a Chartered Financial Consultant, Chartered Federal Employee Benefits Consultant, and an Investment Advisor Representative. To become a Chartered Financial Consultant, Bob took courses for two years and passed ten exams covering investments, taxes, and estate planning. From 1976-1979, Bob served with the Peace Corps in Western Samoa helping residents save endangered sea turtle nesting sites and developing an aquaculture site near the capital, Apia. Bob and his wife Alison have three children and live in Hamilton, Virginia.
