OPM Extends Deadline for Long-Term Care Enrollees with Automatic Compound Inflation Plan to Make Choices
October 23, 2009
Printer-Friendly Format

The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) announced that it has extended the deadline for current enrollees in the Federal Long-Term Care Insurance Program (FLTCIP) with the automatic compound inflation option to make their special decision period choice.

The previous deadline was December 14, 2009.  OPM extended it to February 15, 2010.

OPM stated today that letters to affected enrollees will start mailing Monday, October 26.

The premium increase for certain enrollees with the automatic compound inflation option who choose to remain with their current coverage was going to begin January 1, 2010.  The increase will now be effective March 1, 2010.
