2009 Federal Pay Raise:
3.9% Increase for Federal Employees Congress passed and the President signed legislation for the 2009 federal pay raise providing a 3.9 percent overall average increase for General Schedule employees. However, the statute authorizes the President to allocate the overall increase between an across-the-board increase and locality payments that vary by locality.
