GSA Increases Mileage Reimbursement Rate

The General Services Administration announced last week the new mileage reimbursement rates for federal employees.

Effective Jan. 1, the 2013 mileage deduction rate for federal employee who use their private vehicles to perform work duties is 56.5 cents per mile.  This rate now matches the mileage rate the Internal Revenue Service set for private sector workers.
